ONGC's Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Application Process, Eligibility Criteria and more details
ONGC is making a significant impact on skill development and job creation in India through its 2024 Apprentice Recruitment Drive. This initiative aims to fill 2,236 apprentice positions across 25 work centers, spanning the Northern, Mumbai, Western, Eastern, Southern, and Central zones. With opportunities in diverse trades, such as Accounts Executive, Electrician, and Computer Operator, this drive is a strategic step toward boosting local employment and nurturing talent.
The recruitment covers a broad range of apprentice roles, including Library Assistants, Electricians, Computer Operators, and Fitters, among others. Each trade offers candidates the chance to develop hands-on skills while being compensated with competitive stipends. Graduate Apprentices will earn a monthly stipend of ₹9,000, Diploma Apprentices will receive ₹8,050, and Trade Apprentices will be paid between ₹7,000 and ₹8,050, depending on their trade. This structured pay scale ensures that apprentices are financially supported as they enhance their skills.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
To apply for these exciting opportunities, candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements:
- TGT roles require a bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed degree.
- PGT roles demand a master's degree with at least 50% marks.
- Age eligibility is set between 18 and 24 years, with relaxations for SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwBD candidates.
Additionally, each trade has its educational qualifications, from a 10th pass for Library Assistants to a bachelor's degree in Commerce or Engineering for Graduate Apprenticeships. Diploma holders in relevant engineering disciplines are also eligible for Diploma Apprenticeships, and ITI certificates are necessary for trades like Electrician and Fitter. This wide spectrum ensures that candidates from various educational backgrounds can apply.
How to Apply: A Simple and User-Friendly Process
The application process is fully online, making it convenient for candidates to apply from the comfort of their homes. The application window opens on October 5, 2024, and closes on October 25, 2024, giving candidates a three-week period to complete their submissions.
