The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a 'Maharatna' company with the Govt. of India, has released a notification calling out candidates to apply for the posts of Assistant Technicians, Junior Technical Assistants, Junior Assistants and others in multiple trades/disciplines under different grades to be placed at its units in Chennai and Karaikal. Age Criteria And Fees

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Assistant Technicians, Junior Technical Assistants, Junior Assistants and others through ONGC Recruitment 2019 must have attained 18 years of age as on 20 February 2019 and not exceeded 30 years (A1 & A2 Level Posts); for candidates applying under W1 Level posts, they must have attained 18 years of age as on 20 February 2019 and not exceeded 27 years. A relaxation (upper age limit) by 5 and 3 years is granted to SC/ST and OBC candidates, respectively, applying under all three levels - A1, A2 and W1.
Candidates are required to pay a requisite amount of Rs. 370/- as registration fee. Payment towards registration cum application must be made through offline mode only at any SBI branch through a Challan Form in favour of, "ONGC Power Jyoti A/C No 30827318409 of SBI, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun."

Educational Criteria And Experience

Desirous candidates applying for multiple positions under A1, A2 and W1 through ONGC Recruitment 2019 must have the qualifications as under:

Assistant Technician, Assistant Gr-III: Candidates applying for these posts must possess a Diploma in Instrumentation/Mechanical/Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.

Junior Technical Asst, Junior Assistant Technician, Junior Assistant: Candidates applying for these posts must have passed matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent with a relevant trade certificate, or B.Com, B.Sc from a recognized University.

Junior Fireman: Candidates applying for this post must have passed matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent with Fireman's training for least 3 months and must have a valid HVD license.

Junior Motor Vehicle Driver: Candidates applying for this post must have passed matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent with a valid HVD license, and must have a minimum of 3 years experience in driving heavy vehicles.

Junior Fire Supervisor: Candidates applying for this post must have passed Intermediate/10 +2 or equivalent, with minimum of 6 months experience in fire services from a recognised institute.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates for multiple positions under A1, A2 and W1 grades through ONGC Recruitment 2019 will be done through a written test (CBT) followed by Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Typing Test OR Driving Test as applicable. The candidates are required to qualify each stage separately.

Candidates selected for multiple positions under A1, A2 and W1 grades will be paid accordingly an emolument in the scale ranging from Rs. 10,000/ - Rs. 27,000/- per month.
