OLAY, a skincare company, has introduced its inaugural specialisation course on Coursera, an online learning platform. Entitled "Introduction to Cosmetic Science and Ingredients," this course aims to impart essential knowledge about skincare while fostering interest in the cosmetic science domain.

As part of this initiative, OLAY and Coursera will allocate $2 million in scholarships over three years to individuals keen on exploring cosmetic science. Between 2024 and 2026, 5,000 beneficiaries will be granted a one-year subscription to Coursera Plus, providing access to over 6,900 courses, along with entry-level Professional Certificates and practical projects aimed at developing pertinent business, technology, and data science skills.

The new Specialization will be taught by OLAY's in-house cosmetic scientists, including Dr. Rolanda Wilkerson, renowned for her extensive background in researching emerging skin and hair science. Dr. Wilkerson's expertise in understanding women's skin and hair needs has contributed significantly to improving the formulas of Procter & Gamble's most popular cosmetic products.
