The Odisha government has slashed down of the fees for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) after facing criticism from private engineering colleges over BTech admission charges at the time of counselling.

According to the revised structure, the following is the fees:
"The OJEE has decided to cut down the fees for general candidates to 10,000. The fees for SC, ST and physically disabled candidates will remain on par with the previous year's fee,'' OJEE Chairman Tushar Nath said.
Odisha Private Engineering Colleges' Association (OPECA) had requested the OJEE committee to reduce the fee structure as it would hurt economically weaker students.
The decision has been taken in the larger interest of the candidates who qualify for OJEE. As per the new guidelines, meritorious students of JEE Main can register themselves and lock choices on OJEE website following which temporary seats would be allotted, Nath added.
