The Odisha government has decided to resume schools for classes 6 and 7 from November 15, 2021, onwards. According to the School and Mass Education Department, the students will be taught from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., with three hours dedicated to education.
Students have the option of attending classes in online or offline mode. The attendance for students attending physical classes is not mandatory, according to the department.
The Information & Public Relations Department tweeted, " State Govt have been pleased to allow reopening of schools in respect of Class VI & VII students for the academic year 2021-21 wef 15th Nov 2021. Teaching hours for these students will be 9.30 am to 1.00 pm. Students are allowed to attend classes either on Online or offline mode."

All should follow standard Covid protocols, according to the School and Mass Education Department.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, classroom teaching has been halted since March 2020. Physical classes will also resume for first-year postgraduate students from November 15.
Meanwhile, physical classes for first-year undergraduate students in Odisha began on November 1 for the academic year 2021-22.
Offline classes began on July 26 for classes 10 and 12, on October 21 for class 11, and on October 25 for class 8.
