Odisha Govt To Reimburse Fees of Disabled Students

Bhubaneswar, June 10: In a bid to encourage differently-abled students for pursuing technical education, Odisha government has decided to bear expenses in both government and privately run institutions.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given a direction in this regard asking the officials to make arrangements so that the differently abled students get technical education without much hassle, an official release said.

While there was no need for students to pay any admission or tuition fees in the government run colleges and universities, the government would reimburse the fees paid by them for their education in private colleges and universities, an official release said.

"The government will reimburse the fees of such students as per the fees fixed by the committee meant for private technical institutes," an official said.
