Veer Bal Diwas: Honouring Courage And Inspiring Young Minds In India

Prime Minister Modi addresses youth empowerment at Veer Bal Diwas, highlighting the importance of AI and skills development for future readiness. He honours the bravery of historical figures while promoting innovative policies for today's youth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing an event on Veer Bal Diwas, emphasized the significant contribution young people make towards India's advancement. He stressed the importance of equipping them with knowledge in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Modi pointed out the shift from traditional machines to AI, highlighting the necessity for the youth to be prepared for future challenges. "This era has moved beyond machines to machine learning. AI is taking centre stage, and we can see its application replacing conventional software. It is essential to make our youth future ready to tackle these challenges," he remarked, affirming the government's dedication to nurturing young talents and boosting their confidence.

Modi's Call For Youth Empowerment And Innovation

During the Veer Bal Diwas ceremony, Modi paid tribute to the valiant sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, the Sahibzadas, who demonstrated extraordinary bravery against the Mughal Empire's oppression over three centuries ago. He recounted how, despite their young age, they showed immense courage and faith, opting for sacrifice over succumbing to tyranny on December 26. "More than 300 years ago, on December 26, the Sahibzadas, despite their tender age, displayed unparalleled bravery and sacrificed their lives. They rejected every temptation and endured unimaginable torture, showing that for them, the nation's cause was supreme," Modi stated. He encouraged the youth to learn from their indomitable spirit, underlining that the nation's interests surpass all adversities.

Nurturing Young Minds for a Prosperous Future

Modi also highlighted the government's efforts in implementing youth-oriented policies, ranging from startups and science to sports and entrepreneurship. He pointed out that a new era of transformation is underway, powered by initiatives aimed at empowering the youth. "From startups to science, sports to entrepreneurship, a new wave of transformation is happening. Our policies prioritise giving strength to the youth. Whether it is the startup ecosystem, the future of the space economy, or sports and fitness, all our initiatives are youth-centric," he explained. This approach not only facilitates job creation but also ensures India's competitive edge on the global stage. In his speech, Modi also introduced the 'Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan', an initiative designed to enhance nutritional outcomes through community engagement. This scheme supports the broader objective of promoting the well-being of every Indian citizen, aligning with the government's commitment to health and nutrition.

The Prime Minister further interacted with recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, acknowledging seventeen children from various states and Union Territories. These awardees were recognized for their exceptional achievements in diverse areas including art and culture, bravery, innovation, and science. By congratulating them, Modi showcased the potential of India's youth, saying, "These children have demonstrated what India's youth are capable of achieving. I extend my best wishes to all the winners on behalf of the nation." His encouragement serves as a testament to the government's focus on nurturing young talent across the nation.

Conclusively, Modi's call for young Indians to embody courage, innovation, and a service-minded attitude is pivotal for national progress. By drawing inspiration from historical figures and embracing modern technologies, the youth can significantly contribute to India's unity and development. The government's youth-centric policies, coupled with initiatives like the 'Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan', aim to foster a conducive environment for the young generation to thrive and lead India towards a brighter future.
