According to the NTA notice, the UGC NET Exam 2022 for the merged December 2021 and June 2022 cycles is scheduled to commence from July 8, 2022 and conclude on August 14, 2022. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting UGC NET 2022 Examination 2022 for December 2021 and June 2022 cycles (Merged) for grant of 'Junior Research Fellowship' and eligibility for 'Assistant Professor' in 82 Subjects in computer-based test (CBT) Mode.
Awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or eligibility for grant of Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper - I and Paper - II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.
