NTA to Release CUET (UG) 2024 Results This Evening

To view their results, examinees will need their application number and date of birth. This year, over 13 lakh candidates appeared for the CUET UG 2024 exam. After the results are announced, participating universities and colleges will create a merit list. Each institution will then conduct its counselling sessions based on the CUET UG 2024 scorecards issued by NTA.

Exam Details

The CUET UG was conducted in a hybrid format, combining Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and Pen & Paper methods. The exam took place on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29 across 379 cities, including 26 international locations. Approximately 13 lakh candidates participated in this session.

The provisional answer key was released on July 6 but faced objections from students. To address these concerns, a retest was held for around 1,000 students on July 19. Subsequently, a revised provisional answer key was issued on July 22.

Subjects Covered

The CUET UG exam encompassed a wide range of subjects, including tests in 33 languages, 27 domain subjects, and a general test. Candidates earned five marks for each correct answer while one mark was deducted for each incorrect response. Unanswered questions were scored as zero.

The results were initially set to be released on June 30 but were delayed due to allegations of paper leaks related to NEET-UG, UGC-NET, and CSIR-UGC-NET exams.

Admission Process

CUET scores will be used for admission into undergraduate programs at various institutions across India. These include central universities as well as state-run, deemed, and private universities.

This year's CUET UG saw significant participation, with over 13 lakh candidates taking part in the examination process. The results will play a crucial role in determining the academic futures of these students, guiding them toward their preferred courses and institutions.
