NTA Opens Application Correction Window for UGC NET June 2024, Know how to do corrections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a crucial update for candidates who have applied for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for June 2024. The application correction window, allowing applicants to amend their submitted forms, opened on May 21. This provides a vital opportunity for candidates to rectify any errors or update specific details in their applications.

Applicants can access the correction window until May 23, 11:59 pm, via the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To make changes, candidates must log in using their registration number and password. However, it is essential to note that modifications are restricted to certain fields. Changes to the candidate's name, gender, photo, signature, mobile number, email address, permanent and correspondence address, and exam city are not permitted. Allowed amendments include the date of birth, category, father's name, and mother's name.

Steps to Edit UGC NET June 2024 Application Form

Candidates wishing to make changes to their UGC NET June 2024 application form should follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in
  • Select the correction link: Click on "Correction in particulars of the Online Application Form for UGC NET June 2024."
  • Log in: Use your registration number and password.
  • Edit the form: Make necessary changes and save your edits.
  • Download the updated form: Keep a copy for your records.

Importance of the Correction Window

This correction window represents the last chance for candidates to ensure the accuracy of their application details before the UGC NET June 2024 exam, which is scheduled for June 18. The UGC NET exam is pivotal for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), assistant professor positions in Indian universities and colleges, and admission to PhD programmes.

Following the closure of the edit facility, the NTA will soon issue admit cards for the examination on the official website. The significance of this examination is underscored by the participation in the previous session, where 945,918 candidates registered, and 695,928 appeared from 292 cities across India. The exams were conducted from December 6 to 14, 2023, with results announced on January 17.
