Bangalore Class 12 CBSE Topper accepted to Columbia University

In an exclusive interview with Careerindia, Srishti Sinha, a topper in the CBSE Class 12 examination 2014, reveals her secrets in achieving her success.

Her overall percentage in CBSE Class 12 was 98.2% comprising of English - 95; Maths - 99; Physics - 98; Chemistry - 100; Computer Science - 99.

From being an NPS-Indiranagar (Bangalore) topper to getting a John Jay Scholar at Columbia University in New York City, Srishti shares some of her best influences and tips that has kept her going on the progressive wing.

Where are you headed?
Designated a John Jay Scholar at Columbia University in New York City, where I will be pursuing liberal arts and sciences potentially majoring in Economics or English.

Are there any more colleges/universities which have offered you admits?
Also admitted to Cornell, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Boston University (with presidential scholarship) and USC (also with presidential scholarship) and a couple more..

Extra-curricular activities?
Debating, President of Literary Association, playing the guitar

How did you do it?
Enjoy what you're learning and don't worry too much about the results.

Biggest influences?
Parents, who gave me the space and courage to pursue what I wanted to. Two excellent teachers who made learning Chemistry and English wonderful experiences.

Any tips?
