North East Railway: Apply Online For 1,104 Apprentice Posts In Multiple Trades

The Indian Railways, through the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North East Railway, Gorakhpur, has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 1,104 Apprentice vacancies in multiple trades comprising Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Machinist, Mechanic (Diesel) and Turner through direct recruitment to be posted at various units of the North East Railway. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on November 26, 2019 and closes on December 25, 2019 by 5:00 pm.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Apprentice posts in the North East Railway must have attained 15 years of age as on December 25, 2019 and not be more than 24 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 5 years (SC/ST) and 3 years (OBC) respectively as specified in the notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 (Gen/OBC) as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit) mode only. However, SC/ST/EWS/Divyang (PWD) and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Candidates applying for Apprentice posts in the North East Railway must have passed Matriculation/SSLC/Class 10 or equivalent (50% minimum marks) with ITI in relevant trade from a recognised Board/Institute as specified in the notification.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates to Apprentice posts in the North East Railway will be done based on the marks obtained by the candidates' in the Class 10 and ITI (concerned trade).

Candidates selected to Apprentice posts in the North East Railway will be paid emolument as per the Apprenticeship rules.
