No question paper leak in AIPMT exam: CBSE

New Delhi, May 8: The CBSE clarified that there was no leak of the question paper in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) exam held on May 3.

"It is informed in the interest of all the candidates who appeared in this examination that there has been no leakage of the question paper," the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said in a statement.

"No reports were received prior to or after the examination from any quarter. The first news report of this nature appeared only on May 5, after a lapse of two days," it added.

"It appears that the issue pertains to the use of unfair means and attempt to cheat by certain unscrupulous elements after the commencement of the paper. The police department of the area is initiating suitable action as per law," the CBSE said.

It said it had put in place elaborate arrangements including the deployment of city coordinators, observers, centre superintendents, invigilators, and police personnel at each centre.
