The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli invites applications from eligible candidates for filling 134 vacancies to the post of Assistant Professors Grade II. The online application process towards the same will start from 30 January 2019 and will close on 28 February 2019, with 11 March 2019 as the last date for submission of hard copy of the application.

The recruitment will be for various disciplines under multiple departments comprising Chemical Engineering - 04, Chemistry - 05, Civil Engineering - 15, Computer Applications - 09, Computer Science and Engineering - 10, Energy and Environment - 04, Electrical and Electronics Engineering - 11, Humanities and Social Sciences - 07, Instrumentation and Control Engineering - 04, Management Studies - 10, Mathematics - 07, Mechanical Engineering - 11, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering - 09, Physics - 04 and Production Engineering - 14.

Age Criteria And Fees

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professors Grade II through NIT Tiruchirappalli Recruitment 2019 must have attained 35 years of age as detailed in the official notification, with a relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories as per the set rules.
Candidates must pay a specified amount of Rs. 1000/- Gen/OBC (non-refundable) per department towards processing of application through (Internet Banking/Debit/Credit payment gateways) mode only. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category must pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- per department, while Women/PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fee.

Educational Criteria And Experience

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professors Grade II through NIT Tiruchirappalli Recruitment 2019 must possess the Qualification as under:

For Engineering Departments - The candidates must possess a B.Tech/M.Tech in relevant discipline.

For Humanities/Management/Applied Science - The candidates must possess a BA/ B.Sc/B.Com/MA/M.Com/MBA/MCA in the relevant discipline/subject.

He/she should have also qualified GATE/SLET/NET in relevant discipline/subject.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Assistant Professors Grade II through NIT Tiruchirappalli Recruitment 2019 will be done based on a Shortlisting Process by the respective departments through a screening committee followed by an interview.

Candidates selected as Assistant Professors Grade II under various departments will be paid under Pay Level 10.
