NIRF Ranking 2024: IIT Madras tops overall category, check complete lists here

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced the NIRF Rankings 2024 for all categories. These NIRF ranking lists will be accessible on the official NIRF website at nirfindia.org. The announcement took place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, with Minister of State for Education Sukanto Majumdar also attending the event.

NIRF Ranking 2024: Overall Category List

Three new categories have been added this year, which includes Open University, Skill-based University, and State-funded Government University. This year, the evaluation criteria have also been modified. The faculty-to-student ratio in medical institutes has been adjusted from 1:15 to 1:10, while in state government universities, it has increased from 1:15 to 1:20. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an annual initiative by the Ministry of Education, India, to rank higher education institutions based on various parameters such as teaching, learning resources, research, graduation outcomes, and inclusivity. Launched in 2015, NIRF aims to foster a competitive spirit among institutions, driving them towards excellence. The rankings cover diverse categories including universities, engineering, management, medical, and more, providing a comprehensive assessment of educational quality across the country. NIRF rankings serve as a valuable guide for students, educators, and policymakers in making informed decisions about higher education.
