The NIMCET 2024 Application Form was made available on March 6th, 2024. This is a Common Entrance National Level Examination administered by the National Institute of Technology (NITs) on a rotational basis.

For the current year, NIT Jamshedpur is hosting the examination. The purpose of this exam is to facilitate admission into MCA programs. NIMCET scores are recognized by NITs located in Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), and Warangal. Only candidates who achieve a rank in the NIMCET exam will be considered eligible for admission into MCA programs at the various participating institutes.
How to Complete the NIMCET 2024 Application?
Step-1: Visit the NIMCET website (Link provided above).
Step-2: On the homepage, locate and click on the "Registration" link.
Step-3: Log in using the provided login credentials.
Step-4: Fill out all the necessary details in the application form.
Step-5: Upload scanned copies of your signature and photograph in the specified format.
Step-6: Upon submitting the documents, proceed to make the payment via online mode.
Step-7: Following the completion of the payment process, a unique application number will be generated.
Step-8: Retain a hardcopy of the completed application form for future reference.
Application Fee
- The application fee is ₹2500 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹1250 for SC/ST candidates.
- Payment can only be made using a credit/debit card or internet banking.
- Upon successful payment, your application will be automatically submitted.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with mathematics/statistics for a minimum of 3 years full-time, or possess a B.E/B.Tech or equivalent qualification from a recognized University to be eligible to apply for the NIMCET 2024 examination.
- Candidates who have completed a 3-year B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT program from Open Universities are also eligible to apply for the examination
- Candidates who are currently appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the examination.
- Minimum Marks Required: Indian National Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA, while a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA is required for SC, ST candidates to be eligible for the examination.
Answer Key
The official authorities will provide the NIMCET 2024 Answer Key to candidates through their website. With the help of the NIMCET 2024 Answer Key, candidates can assess their performance in the exam and predict their probable scores. The answer key for NIMCET 2024 will be released separately for all question paper sets and codes. Additionally, a facility to challenge the answer key will be available to candidates.
