NIC to provide high-speed Internet


Lucknow, Oct 30: The Uttar Pradesh government has requested National Informatics Centre to provide high-speed internet connectivity to state universities and colleges.

"The NIC has been requested to provide high-speed National Knowledge Network (NKN) connectivity to 14 state universities and 139 degree colleges, Higher education Directorate and UP State higher education council," Principal Secretary, Higher Education Kalpana Awasti said.

In order to help students, researcher, and educationists, high-speed internet under NKN should be provided to state universities, the principal secretary said in a letter to NIC.

The officer also requested to provide the same connectivity to 139 colleges for better networking.
