Candidates who took the NEST 2024 exam can now view the cut-off scores on the official website, nestexam.in. The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, has published the cut-off for this year's National Entrance Screening Test (NEST).

Exam Details

The NEST 2024 exam was held online on June 30, with results announced on July 12. The answer key was made available on July 5, and candidates had until July 7, 11 am to submit any objections via email to NEST authorities.

NEST 2024 Cut-Off Factors

Several factors were considered when setting the NEST 2024 cut-off. These included the number of candidates, exam difficulty, previous years' cut-offs, seat availability, overall performance, and reservation policies.

The NEST 2024 exam committee decided to drop two questions from this year's paper due to objections raised against the provisional answer key. One Biology question from shift 1 (Question ID 733898484) was found to have multiple correct answers. Additionally, a Physics question from shift 2 (Question ID 733898466) had no correct answer among the options provided.

The total marks for Biology in shift 1 and Physics in shift 2 have been scaled so that the overall total remains at 180. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website for updates regarding counselling dates for NEST 2024.
