NESHRO India's first conference held in New Delhi

The North East Students' Human Rights Organization (NESHRO, India) held its first ever conference at Sir Shankar Lal Hall, Delhi University on September 20 with Dr Thokchom Meinya, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from Manipur as the Chief Guest.

 

Speaking at the conference, Dr.Meinya stressed the importance of 'Bridging the gaps of differences among different communities.

Satish Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police, North Delhi and Miss Caroline Maninee, a students' activist were the Guests of Honor during the programme, while Fidelia Kharbangar, a student from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University was the moderator.

About NESHRO India: It is an organisation formed by a group of students from the North Eastern states who are studying at different educational institutions mainly from Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The objectives of the conference are to give awareness about your legal rights, educational rights and to rebuild national integrity and bring oneness to all communities.
