The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 from July 21, 2025.

NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1: Registration Begins Today at mcc.nic.in for MBBS, BDS Seats - Check Key Dates and Steps to Apply

Candidates who have qualified the NEET UG 2025 examination are now eligible to register for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing admissions in various medical and dental colleges under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other national institutions including AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and Deemed Universities.

The online registration process has started at mcc.nic.in and will remain open till July 28, 2025, up to 12 PM. Applicants must complete choice filling and locking before the deadline to be considered for Round 1 seat allotment.

MCC will conduct a total of four rounds of counselling-Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy Round-for the 2025 admission cycle.

Eligibility and Participating Institutes

Candidates must have:

  • Qualified NEET UG 2025
  • Fulfilled minimum eligibility criteria (Class 12 marks, age, subject combo)
  • Registered online through mcc.nic.in

Institutions participating include:

  • AIQ Seats (15%)
  • Central Universities (BHU, AMU)
  • Deemed Universities
  • AFMC (Pune), AIIMS, JIPMER
  • ESIC medical colleges
  • B.Sc. Nursing seats under NEET UG

Steps to Apply for NEET UG 2025 Round 1 Counselling

1. Visit the MCC portal: mcc.nic.in

2. Click on 'UG Medical Counselling' section

3. Register using NEET UG 2025 credentials (Roll No, DOB)

4. Fill in personal, academic, and contact details

5. Upload scanned documents and photograph

6. Pay the counselling fee (₹1000 for General, ₹500 for SC/ST/OBC) and refundable security deposit

7. Participate in choice filling and lock preferences

8. Submit the final form before the deadline

Documents Required During Registration and Reporting

  • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card & Scorecard
  • Class 10 & 12 Marksheets and Certificates
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc.)
  • Passport-size Photographs
  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Tips for Choice Filling & Seat Allotment

  • Choose a wide range of institutes to improve your chances
  • Refer to previous year cut-offs for better clarity
  • Lock your choices before the deadline to avoid auto-locking
  • Once allotted, you must report physically to the college with documents

Candidates will have the option to either accept the Round 1 seat or opt for upgradation in the subsequent rounds.

After Round 1 - What's Next?

  • Those who don't get a seat can apply for Round 2 starting in August 2025
  • Candidates allotted a seat can either accept and report or upgrade
  • Further rounds include Mop-Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round (for remaining seats)
