The NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling process will begin on September 3, 2026, with registration and fee payment for eligible candidates. The Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced on September 11, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will have to report to their respective institutions within the prescribed timeline.

NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling: Key Dates

According to the MCC schedule, the tentative seat matrix for Round 2 will be available from September 1 to 2, 2026. Candidates can review the available seats before filling in their choices.

Registration and fee payment will be open from September 3 to 8, while choice filling will continue from September 3 to 9, 2026.

The choice-locking facility will be available from 4 PM on September 8 to 10 AM on September 9. MCC will process the seat allotment on September 9 and 10, followed by publication of the allotment result on September 11.

NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Registration and Choice Filling

Eligible candidates will be able to register for Round 2 from September 3, 2026. During registration, candidates must provide the required details and complete the prescribed fee payment.

After registration, candidates can enter their preferred colleges and courses during the choice-filling window. They should carefully arrange their preferences based on available seats, eligibility and admission requirements.

Candidates are advised to review their choices before locking them. Once choices are locked, changes may not be permitted during the particular counselling round.

NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

MCC will process the Round 2 seat allotment on September 9 and 10. The result will be released on September 11, 2026.

Candidates should log in to the MCC counselling portal after the result is published to check their allotted college, course and other details. Those who receive a seat must follow the instructions issued by MCC and complete reporting and joining formalities between September 12 and 18, 2026.

State Counselling Schedule for NEET UG 2026 Round 2

The Round 2 schedule also includes timelines for state counselling authorities. The state-level Round 2 counselling process is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 11, 2026.

State authorities will undertake the required verification of candidate data, with verification of joined candidates scheduled for September 19, 2026.

Candidates participating in state counselling should separately check the respective state counselling authority's official website for registration, choice filling, allotment and reporting instructions.

NEET UG 2026 Round 2: What Candidates Should Do

Candidates should keep track of the MCC schedule and complete each counselling activity within the prescribed deadline. Before choice filling, they should review the tentative seat matrix and consider their preferred colleges and courses carefully.

Those allotted seats in Round 2 should download the allotment details, complete the required admission formalities and report to the allotted institution within the specified period.
