NEET UG 2024 Round 1 Counselling: Final Seat Allotment Results Out, Reporting Deadline August 29

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the final seat allotment results for the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling. 26,109 candidates, who successfully cleared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) and participated in the counselling process, have been allocated MBBS and BDS seats based on merit and eligibility.

Top Performers and Reporting Schedule:

All 17 top-ranked NEET UG candidates have secured MBBS seats at AIIMS Delhi, reaffirming the institution's position as a top choice among medical aspirants. With the announcement of seat allotment, the reporting phase for the first round of MCC NEET UG 2024 counselling has officially commenced. Candidates must download their provisional allotment letters from the MCC website and adhere to the reporting guidelines provided.

Reporting and Documentation Requirements:

Candidates assigned a seat must report to their designated colleges by August 29, 2024. When reporting, they should carry their NEET UG seat allotment letter, all required original documents, and eight passport-sized photographs that match those uploaded during the application process. Upon reporting, the medical colleges will verify the candidates' admission details and submit the necessary data to the MCC between August 30 and 31.

PwD Certificate and Special Instructions:

For candidates who need a PwD certificate for the second round of counselling, the MCC has designated specific Disability Centres where certificates can be obtained until 5 pm on September 9, 2024. Additionally, due to the Janmashtami holiday, the MCC call centre will be operational from 9 am to 6 pm on August 26, 2024 (Monday).

Seat Allotment Breakdown:

The MCC NEET counselling process encompasses various quotas, including the 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS and BDS across different states, 100% open seats at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for both MBBS and BDS and open quota seats at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Puducherry and Karaikal. It also covers seats at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Delhi University (DU), Indraprastha University (IPU), open seats in Jamia Millia Islamia's faculty of dentistry, deemed universities, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

Candidates whose category or quota has changed within the same institution and course must obtain an online-generated relieving letter and secure admission to the revised category or quota seat with a fresh online-generated admission letter. Failure to complete these steps will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat due to non-admission.
