NEET UG 2024 Results Released by NTA: Check City and Centre-wise Scores

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG results for 2024, categorized by city and examination centre. Candidates can now check their results on the official NTA NEET websites: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ and neet.ntaonline.in.

NEET UG 2024 Results Released by NTA

The NEET UG exam was conducted on May 5 at 4,750 centres. Initially, the results were announced on June 4. A re-examination was held on June 23 for affected candidates, with those results published on June 30. Approximately 24 lakh candidates participated in the main exam, and 1,563 candidates appeared for the re-exam.

On July 18, the Supreme Court of India mandated the NTA to release the NEET UG results by noon on July 20. The court instructed that the marks be published without revealing the identities of the candidates. This directive came from a bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, along with Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra. The results were to be organized separately by city and centre, following developments in a NEET UG paper leak case involving four medical students from AIIMS Patna.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently arrested four medical students from AIIMS Patna in connection with a NEET UG paper leak case. Dr. Gopal Krushna Pal, Director of AIIMS Patna, mentioned that appropriate action would be taken against these students if found guilty, as reported by PTI.

By organizing and publishing results in this manner, the NTA seeks to ensure that all candidates have clear and equitable access to their scores, reinforcing the integrity of the NEET UG examination.
