The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release admit cards for the NEET UG re-test. Scheduled for June 23, 2024, this re-test will accommodate 1,563 candidates. Admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA's official website once they are available.

This re-test follows a Supreme Court intervention. It impacts candidates who previously received grace marks due to issues such as incorrect question papers, damaged OMR sheets, or delays in OMR sheet distribution. Consequently, the results of these 1,563 candidates have been nullified.
Background of the Re-Test Decision
Approximately 24 lakh medical aspirants appeared for NEET-UG 2024 on May 5. Known for its competitive nature, this entrance exam is conducted by the NTA. The results, initially slated for June 14, were announced early on June 4 due to expedited evaluations.
However, allegations of a question paper leak and the awarding of grace marks to over 1,500 candidates led to widespread protests. These issues prompted legal actions in several High Courts and the Supreme Court. Subsequently, the Supreme Court directed the NTA to conduct a re-test for the affected candidates.
Candidates who faced issues during the initial exam now have the opportunity to reappear on June 23. Admit cards for the re-test will be accessible on the NTA's official website.
Following the re-test, counselling for admissions into MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses will commence on July 6. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the latest announcements on the NTA's official portal.
