Concerns regarding the grace mark distribution procedure and its effect on the exam's overall fairness prompted the decision for the NEET-UG Result 2024. To preserve the integrity of the NEET-UG exam and to promote transparency, grace marks have been cancelled.

Students who are impacted by this choice will be able to demonstrate their actual skills in the retest without worrying about receiving extra points. Even while the cancellation might be difficult for some students, it ultimately maintains the exam's standards and emphasizes merit-based results. This action highlights the Center's dedication to administering an impartial and fair NEET-UG exam and highlights how crucial it is to keep equal opportunity for all candidates.
Re-exam Date and Results:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the re-test date on Thursday, likely June 23. Results should be out before June 30 to ensure the July 6 counselling is unaffected.
Action Against Responsible Parties:
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that action will be taken against those responsible for the NEET results mess.
Background of NEET-UG 2024:
The NEET-UG 2024 was held on May 5 for around 24 lakh students. Suspicions arose when 67 individuals achieved a perfect score of 720 marks. After petitions, the NTA formed a Grievance Redressal Committee, which compensated 1,563 candidates with grace marks based on the Supreme Court's normalization formula.
Cut-offs and Concerns:
The NTA kept cut-offs unusually high due to the increased number of students. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has called for NEET to be scrapped, citing irregularities.
