NEET UG 2024 Final Results to be Announced in Two Days

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that the NEET-UG 2024 final results will be declared within two days. This decision comes after the Supreme Court dismissed pleas for the cancellation and re-test of the medical entrance exam, despite allegations of question paper leaks, fraud, and impersonation.

NEET UG 2024 Final Results to be Announced Soon

The Supreme Court found no evidence of a "systemic breach" in the NEET-UG 2024. This ruling was made despite severe criticism faced by the BJP-led NDA government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) over the alleged malpractices. The Court's decision to uphold the exam's integrity has set the stage for the announcement of the final results.

During a press conference, Minister Pradhan confirmed that the NTA would release the NEET-UG final results within two days. He also mentioned that the exam's merit list would be revised according to the Supreme Court's observations. The ranks of around 4 lakh students are expected to change based on an IIT Delhi report that confirmed only one option in an ambiguous physics question in the NEET UG paper was correct.
Upholding Exam Integrity

Expressing satisfaction with the Supreme Court's verdict, Pradhan stated, "'Satyamev Jayate'. Truth has prevailed." He added, "The apex court dismissed the pleas seeking cancellation and re-test of the 2024 NEET-UG, holding that there was no evidence on record to conclude that the sanctity of the exam has been violated. Today's verdict on NEET-UG will put speculation to rest and provide relief to lakhs of hardworking and honest students."

Pradhan also emphasized the government's zero-tolerance policy towards exam irregularities, stating, "Anyone found involved in exam irregularities will face consequences. We have zero tolerance for breaches; maintaining the integrity of exams is paramount for us."

With the final results expected soon, the NEET UG 2024 counselling registration is anticipated to begin shortly. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release a detailed notification and schedule on its official website, mcc.nic.in. The Supreme Court's interim verdict has provided much-needed clarity and direction in the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2024.

Pradhan took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, accusing them of attempting to create "anarchy and civil unrest" over the NEET issue. He defended the government's handling of the situation, highlighting their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
