Addressing Grievances:

To maintain trust in the exam's integrity, the NTA formed a Grievance Redressal Committee. This committee reviewed complaints and awarded compensatory marks to candidates who lost time during the exam. A total of 1563 candidates received compensatory marks based on a formula established by the Supreme Court in 2018.

Variations in Cut-off Scores:

The NTA noted variations in cut-off scores this year. This is attributed to the competitive nature of the exam and higher performance standards. More candidates received full marks due to a change in one Physics answer key and the compensatory marks for time loss.

Ensuring Exam Integrity:

CCTV cameras were installed in all exam rooms to detect malpractice. The NTA denied claims of a paper leak, stating that reported incidents were related to cheating and impersonation. All printed question papers were accounted for.

A mix-up at Exam Center:

One center in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, experienced a mix-up where Hindi medium question papers were given to English medium candidates and vice versa. The error was quickly rectified, and affected candidates retook the exam with the correct papers on the same day.

Revised Curriculum:

For NEET (UG) 2024, the curriculum has been revised, reducing content by 22 to 25%. This aims to focus on fundamental concepts and simplify the course.

High-Powered Committee:

A High-Powered Committee has been established to review cases of students who received compensatory marks for time loss. Their role is to ensure fair and transparent evaluations.

Early Result Announcement:

The NEET UG 2024 results were announced on June 4 instead of the previously stated June 14. This was done to expedite the counseling and admission process. The NTA asserts no discrepancies in scoring, debunking a viral video that claimed otherwise.
