NEET UG 2024 Answer Key Released at exams.nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. Students who appeared for the exam on May 5 can now access and download the answer key from the official website, exams.nta.ac.in.

Provisional Answer Key and Objections

The provisional answer keys were initially made available on May 29. Medical aspirants were given the opportunity to raise objections until May 31. According to a source from the NTA, the NEET UG results are expected to be announced in the second or third week of June. For reference, last year's answer key was released on June 4, with results declared on June 13.

Upcoming Counselling Process

Following the announcement of results, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will oversee the counselling process for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This includes seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, BHU, and AMU. Candidates will apply for these seats in accordance with DGHS guidelines, and the counselling will continue until all seats are filled.

This year, NEET UG saw participation from:

  • 9,96,393 male candidates
  • 13,31,321 female candidates
  • 17 transgender candidates

Marking Scheme for NEET UG 2024

The marking scheme for NEET UG 2024 is as follows:

  • If more than one option is correct, four marks (+4) will be awarded to those who marked any correct option.
  • If all options are correct, four marks (+4) will be awarded to all candidates who attempted the question.
  • If none of the options are correct or if a question is found to be wrong, four marks (+4) will be awarded to all candidates, whether they attempted the question or not.

Notably, this year no questions were dropped from the exam.
