NEET UG 2023 Exam Tomorrow: Admit Card, Exam Pattern and Timings

NEET UG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 exam on May 7, 2023.

The exam will be held in various cities across India and abroad for admission to medical courses. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download their NEET UG admit card 2023 from the official website - neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG 2023 will be held in pen and paper mode and will have a duration of three hours and 20 minutes. The exam will start at 2 pm and end at 5:20 pm. Candidates must carry their admit cards and a photo ID to the exam hall.

This year, 20.87 lakh students have registered for the NEET UG 2023 exam, which is 2.57 lakh more than last year. Out of the total applicants, 11.8 lakh female candidates and 9.02 lakh male candidates have applied. However, some candidates had requested the Prime Minister and the Union Education Minister to postpone the exam due to rising COVID cases.

The NEET UG 2023 question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions from four subjects - physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. Each subject will have two sections, A and B. Section A will contain 35 questions, and section B will have 15 questions. Candidates must attempt 10 questions from section B. For every right answer, four marks will be awarded, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Unanswered or unattempted questions will receive zero marks.

NTA has also announced that NEET UG 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and regional languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, in compliance with the National Education Policy (NEP). Candidates who have opted for English will receive the question booklet in English only, while those who have selected Hindi or regional languages will get a bilingual test booklet in which one language will be English, and the other will be Hindi or the regional language.
