NEET SS Round 1 Counselling 2022: Today, December 5, 2022, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the selection process for the first round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super-specialty (NEET SS) counselling 2022. Candidates can fill out their preferences on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The deadline for selection choice-filling is December 7, 2022. On December 3, MCC published a new timetable for NEET SS counselling 2022. The new schedule notified candidates that, in light of the Supreme Court's decision on the issue of Tamil Nadu in-service candidates, choice-filling for round 1 had begun, and a revised schedule of counselling had been released. The NEET SS seat allotment result for round 1 will be published on December 10, 2022, according to the revised timetable. Candidates who have been assigned a seat will be able to report to universities from December 11 to December 16. "However, the seats of Tamil Nadu state in service category that remain empty would be included in Round-2 of SS Counselling 2022 to be conducted by MCC of DGHS," according to MCC's official statement. According to the Supreme Court judgement, the state of Tamil Nadu has been given 15 days to fill reserved seats. The state will have to notify the Union of India about the vacant seats in the in-service category.

On November 22, MCC began the registration procedure for round 1 of NEET SS counselling. However, during the academic year 2022-23, aspirants infringing on the 50% of seats allotted for in-service candidates in super speciality programmes accessible in government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu were denied admission.
