"PG counseling 2021 has been postponed till further orders," an official statement issued earlier by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) stated, in the wake of the Supreme Court hearing the OBC/EWS quota plea, which will now be heard on November 23.

NEET PG Counseling 2021 Postponed

The decision regarding postponement of NEET PG Counseling 2021 following a Supreme Court directive to the Centre to postpone the NEET PG Counseling 2021 session until it decides on the validity of the implementation of EWS (10%) and OBC (27%) reservation in All India Quota (AIQ). It may be noted that the NEET PG counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats - MD/MS/DIPLOMA/PG DNB- was scheduled to begin on October 25 which now will be held after the apex court rules on the OBC and EWS quota issue.

NEET PG Counseling Date, Time And Documents Required

NEET PG Counselling session will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Two rounds of NEET PG 2021 counselling are to be held, followed by mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

As per the official schedule, the NEET PG Counselling 2021 Round 1 and NEET PG Registration 2021 along with the fee payment starts on October 25, 2021 and ends on October 29, 2021. However, the window for choice filling/locking the desired seats will commence from tomorrow i.e. October 26, 2021 and end on October 29, 2021 by 11:55 pm, according to the official schedule.

The verification of internal candidates by the respective institutes will commence on October 30, 2021 and end on October 31, 2021 with seat processing allotment scheduled on November 1, 2021 and November 2, 2021.

The results of PG Medical seat allotment will be declared on November 3, 2021 following which candidates selected are required to report for admission at designated institutes over a period of seven days - from November 4, 2021 and November 10, 2021.

Registration for NEET 2021 PG Counselling Round 2 will commence from November 15, 2021 and will be followed by a mop-up and stray vacancy rounds

What Is NEET PG?

NEET PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admissions into postgraduate program such as MD/MS/DIPLOMA/PG DNB courses across India as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. While, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is entrusted with conducting the exam, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting NEET PG medical counselling for allotting the 50 per cent AIQ seats, 100% seats of Central Universities, and 100% seats of Deemed University with the States having their own counselling agencies to complete the NEET PG medical counselling process.
