The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released crucial updates regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. The recent announcement pertains to the selection of test cities and changes necessitated by enhanced security measures.

In response to heightened security protocols mandated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the NEET PG 2024 exam will now be conducted in 185 cities across India. This expansion is a significant adjustment from previously allocated test centres, rendering earlier admit cards invalid for the exam originally scheduled on June 23.
Revised Test City Selection Process
Candidates who had received admit cards for the earlier scheduled exam are required to re-select their preferred test city. This selection process will be conducted online from July 19 to 22, ending at 11:55 pm. It is essential for candidates to visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in during this period to update their test city preferences.
The allocated test city will be communicated to candidates via email on July 29. Detailed information about the exact test venue will be available when the revised admit cards are issued on August 8.
Examination Shifts and Other Details
Notably, candidates will not have the option to choose their examination shift (morning or afternoon). The timings for both shifts will be communicated to candidates at a later date, as specified in the official notice by NBEMS.
Earlier this year, the NEET PG exam scheduled for June 23 was postponed just hours before its commencement. This decision was made in the interest of ensuring the integrity of the examination process and the well-being of all candidates. The Ministry of Health emphasized that fresh exam dates would be announced promptly to minimize disruption for aspirants.
These updates underscore NBEMS's commitment to conducting NEET PG 2024 with utmost fairness and integrity. The adjustments in test city selection and scheduling aim to facilitate a seamless examination experience for all candidates, aligning with regulatory standards and security protocols mandated by the government.
