NEET-PG 2024 Exam Date Announced; Check the date here

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has announced that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) 2024 will be held on August 11, 2024. The exam will take place in two shifts. The eligibility cut-off date for appearing in NEET-PG 2024 remains August 15, 2024.

Previously, due to concerns about the integrity of certain competitive exams, the Health Ministry postponed the NEET-PG exam just hours before it was scheduled to occur on June 23, as a precautionary measure.

On July 2, a meeting was convened in the Union Home Ministry, involving officials from the Health Ministry, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and the Cyber Cell. This meeting focused on evaluating the preparedness and robustness of the system for conducting the NEET-PG exam online.

In addition to NEET-PG, the Centre had also cancelled the UGC-NET exam due to concerns about exam integrity. The UGC-NET will now be held between August and September. This exam determines eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship, assistant professor appointments, and admission to PhD programs.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC-NET, also postponed amid concerns over exam irregularities, is now rescheduled for July 25 to July 27. The CSIR UGC-NET is used for PhD admissions in Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
