NEET MDS 2023, FMGE Exams Rescheduled: Download Revised Schedule and Other Information

Are you a Bachelor of Dental Surgery qualified person wanting to do a Master of Dental Surgery through the NEET MDS Exam? There is an important update for you.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, NBEMS has postponed the NEET MDS 2023 Exam from the earlier date of January 8, 2023, to a date in March 2023. Moreover, it has also put off the FMGE 2023 Exam from December 2022 to a later date in January. As per the notification on the official website at natboard.edu.in, NEET MDS 2023 Exam will now be held on March 1, 2023, while the FMGE 2023 Exam will take place on January 20, 2023.

All the applicants registered to take MDS 2023 - an all-India postgraduate level dental entrance exam - can visit the official website at natboard.edu.in for more details regarding the test. "Online Application Process and Information Bulletin for NEET MDS 2023 will release in due course," said the authorities.

Reason for Postponement?

While the FMGE 2023 Exam has been postponed due to the upcoming MCD Election in New Delhi, the reason for the MDS postponement has not been revealed. As for FMGE Exam, Admit Card is expected to be released a week before the exam which is January 13, 2023. And we can expect the results to be declared on or around February 10, 2023. For those not aware of what this exam is for, allow us to tell you that FMGE - Foreign Medical Graduate Examination - is a screening test conducted for medical graduates from foreign countries to judge if they are eligible to practice medicine in India.

What is NEET MDS Exam

NEET MDS is the sole entrance exam in India to offer Dental Graduates (BDS qualified) admission into MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) courses across various colleges/universities in India. There are over 6,100 MDS seats on offer which are distributed through 50 Percent All India Quota and 50 percent State Quota. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, NBEMS is the body that conducts this Exam and there are over 250 PG dental colleges which participate in it.
