The Bihar police are investigating a recent NEET UG exam leak involving a doctor and his son from Naini in Prayagraj. The doctor paid ₹4 lakh to have someone else take the exam for his son, who was preparing for the NEET test. The father and son have not been located despite police searches.

Dr. RP Pandey, a resident of ADA Colony who runs a private hospital in Naini, is the father of Raj Pandey, a student preparing for the NEET exam. On May 5, a person named Hukma Ram was apprehended attempting to take the exam in place of Raj at DAV Public School in Malighat, Muzaffarpur district, Bihar. Hukma Ram, a third-year MBBS student from AIIMS-Jodhpur in Rajasthan, was permitted to participate in the exam despite failing a biometric verification. The authorities are now investigating Hukma Ram and the management of the exam center.
It is suspected that Raj Pandey and his father were involved in a fraudulent scheme to secure a medical seat through illegal means. The Bihar police are working closely with their counterparts in other states to track down the duo and bring them to justice. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to uncover any additional accomplices or details related to the case. The case has sparked concerns about the integrity of the medical entrance examination system and has highlighted the need for stricter measures to prevent such fraudulent activities in the future. Authorities are determined to ensure that those responsible for compromising the system are held accountable for their actions.
