National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided not to give extra attempts to the students of NEET 2021. This year if any student fails to clear NEET 2021 exam in one go they will not be given any additional attempt.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 which is scheduled to be conducted on 01 August 2021. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is held every year for students who want to take admission to undergraduate medical programmes at medical colleges such as AIIMS and JIPMER institutes.

NEET 2021: Language Option

This year, NTA announced to conduct exams in 11 languages including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Odia, and Urdu. While filling in the application form, the candidates will have to choose the option of the medium of the question paper.

NEET 2021: The Marking System

The NEET 2021 will be held in an offline mode which will carry a total of 720 marks. The Physics and Chemistry sections will be of 180 Marks each and the Biology section will carry 360 Marks. The total exam duration is 180 minutes.

NEET 2021: No Extra Attempt

This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided not to give extra attempts to the students of NEET 2021. The exams will be held like in previous years, with no changes. Hence, this year if any student fails to clear NEET 2021 exam in one go they will not be given any additional attempt. However, the students were demanding an extra chance for this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected their studies.

There were speculations regarding the NEET 2021 examination mode which could be conducted online due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. However, clearing the speculations, NTA announced that there will be no change in the mode of examination and it will be conducted offline through pen and paper mode only.

NEET 2021: How To Apply For Exam

The NTA is expected to release NEET 2021 registration dates soon. The candidates can go through the official website ntaneet.nic.in once the application forms are released. To apply for NEET 2021, the candidates will have to click on the registration link and need to fill in the required details to generate login credentials. The candidates then can login and fill in the application form and submit it.
