The dates for the NEET 2017 Counselling has been released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). NEET 2017 Counselling begins on July 3
The NEET 2017 Counselling will be held online. This is for all those candidates who have qualified for admissions in government medical and dental colleges across India in the All India Quota. There will be two rounds of the counselling. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will be the organising body that is conducting counselling for 15% All India Quota seats.
How many candidates are qualified for the NEET 2017 Counselling?
Out of the 11 lakhs candidates who wrote NEET 2017, 6 lakhs of them have been qualified for the counselling.
Note:
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir are outside the purview of the All India Quota seats, colleges from these states will not be participating in admission. The other states will however be releasing their rank lists soon.
A CBSE statement read, "for State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned counselling authorities."
