NCERT Recruitment 2024; Apply Online for 170 Proof Reader, Assistant Editor & Other Vacancies

The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the positions of Assistant Editors, Proofreaders, and DTP Operators.

According to the official NCERT Recruitment 2024 notification, there are a total of 170 vacancies available for the mentioned posts. Candidates applying for Assistant Editors should not exceed 50 years of age, while those applying for DTP Operators should be within 45 years, and Proofreaders should be within 42 years. A Bachelor's degree from a recognized University is a prerequisite for all applicants.

NCERT Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for the positions of Assistant Editor, Proofreader, and DTP Operators at the Publication Division, NCERT, involves a skill test. Candidates aspiring for the Assistant Editor role should possess a Bachelor's degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in relevant subjects, and a minimum of 5 years of editing experience. Proof Reader applicants need a Bachelor's degree in English/Hindi/Urdu, one year of experience in a printing or publishing organization, and proficiency in computer operations. DTP Operators are required to have graduation, a 1-year DTP course, 3 years of publishing experience, and proficiency in design tools. The skill tests are scheduled for February 2-3, 2024, at NCERT's Publication Division in New Delhi.

Age Limit

Individuals with a minimum age of 21 years and a maximum age of 50 years are eligible to apply for this notification, with age relaxation applied as per rules. The upper age limit should not exceed 50 years, and relaxation is applicable for women, OBC, SC, ST, and physically handicapped (PH) candidates as per norms.
