National Testing Agency (NTA) To Conduct NEET 2019 On May 5

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule for NEET 2019. The NEET exam date is May 5, 2019.

The HRD ministry has decided to withdraw its decision to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) twice a year. In the last month, the HRD ministry stated that NEET and JEE Main will be conducted twice a year. The decision is a repercussion to the recommendations made by the health ministry asking the HRD ministry to reconsider the proposal of conducting NEET twice a year.

The human resource ministry has also introduced the National Testing Agency (NTA), which will be conducting various examinations such as NEET and JEE Main. According to the schedule released by NTA, NEET would be conducted on May 5, 2019. The online application process will begin from November 1 to 30, 2018.

NEET 2019 will be a written exam. There is no official announcement on the change of NEET 2019 syllabus and eligibility criteria. The NEET exam is conducted in all the eight regional languages.

NEET Undergraduate (UG) is conducted for an admission to MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges across India which are approved by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

The sources quoted that National Testing Agency (NTA) is restricted to conducting the entrance exam, declaring the result and providing the All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services for the counselling of 15% All India Quota Seats besides sending the result to the counselling authorities.

On the whole, aspiring students have to note that the decision to conduct NEET twice a year has been scrapped. There is no change in the NEET 2019 examination pattern and rules.
