The Ministry of Education has released the list of teachers selected for the National Award to Teachers 2021. A total of 44 teachers were selected for the National Teachers Award 2021. President of India Ram Nath Kovind will be conferring the National Teachers Award 2021 to teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day (September 5). Out of the selected 44 meritorious teachers, two each are from Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. This year, a total of nine women will be awarded National Award to Teachers 2021. Check the National Teachers Day 2021 winner list below.

Every year, the Ministry of Education select meritorious teachers to honour them for their commitment and contribution. Earlier, the teachers were asked to nominate themselves between June 1 and July 10. A Jury has shortlisted a total of 44 teachers on August 10.
The official website reads, "The purpose of National Award to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students."
