Nagaon students join hands with US students

Students from Nagaon district from the state of Assam joined hands with the students of West Fargo High School, North Dakota (USA). This initiative is a unique and ambitious effort to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in India.

 

The team of students and teachers from the USA-based school will send the components of a robot to Nagaon Bengali Girls' School and help students of the school build a robot over the academic year through online video meetings under the initiative aimed at promotion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Twelve eco-club members of the Nagaon school, comprising of students along with eight teachers represented the Nagaon team, and six students and two teachers represented West Fargo High School during the video interaction held on Saturday. "It was great experience for all of us to share our knowledge with the team of teachers and students from USA," said Arpana Bhattachyara, a teacher of the Nagaon school.
