Nagaland teachers vow to dedicate themselves

Kohima, July 7: Nagaland government teachers have vowed to dedicate themselves to the profession and carry out their duties with conscience and dignity.

The pledge was taken at the conclusion of the first Nagaland Government Teachers Conference.

The government teachers also pledged in unison that the well-being of the students would always be their primary concern, besides vowing to strive to continuously enhance and upgrade their professional prowess through self-study and other capacity building programmes.

They promised not to permit considerations of religion, nationality, race, party politics, social standing or any other factor to intervene between their duty and the students.

The two-day conference was attended by around 1000 teachers of the department. It was was organized by State Council of Educational Research Training, School Education and Nagaland Board of School Education.
