After much delay and confusion, the Mumbai University has announced the final year exam schedule of the last semester for the semester and backlog exams. According to the circular, the students of the final year of arts, science, and commerce colleges will have to give exams from May 6 to May 21. The colleges will have to complete the exams for semesters 1 to 4 between April 15 to May 5. The date sheet for professional course exams like Engineering, Law, Architecture, and post-graduate courses will be released soon.
There may be changes in the exam format but the weightage of marks will largely remain the same as the exams held in December. The students will have no choice in questions as they had in the previous semester. Previously, the question paper contained 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) from which only 40 questions needed to be attempted. However, in this term, students will have to attempt all 50 questions. The paper instead of 60 marks will be of 50. For Engineering, MCA, and Pharmacy exams, there will be 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and 40 Descriptive Questions.

Usually, the final exams are held in March. This year, the academic term started after a one-month delay and hence exams have been shifted to May. Giving the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the exams are expected to be held online. While the theory exam can be conducted online easily, conducting practical exams online can be challenging.
