MPPSC Recruitment 2025: Apply for 2,117 Assistant Professor Positions, Here's Everything You Need to Know

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has opened applications for 2,117 Assistant Professor positions across various subjects in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The application window runs from February 27 to March 26, 2025, offering candidates a chance to secure a prestigious teaching role in the state's colleges and universities.

These permanent Gazetted Second-Class positions come with the benefits of a stable career and a competitive salary under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), Academic Level 10.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

• A Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in a relevant field from a recognized university.
• Candidates with NET, SLET, SET, or equivalent UGC-approved qualifications are eligible.
• A 5% relaxation in marks is granted for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

Age Limit

• Between 21 and 40 years as of January 1, 2025, with age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD as per government norms.

• General & Other State Candidates: ₹500
• MP-based SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹250
• Portal Fee: ₹40 (non-refundable)

Selection Process

The recruitment process is designed to ensure the selection of the most qualified educators:

Written Examination:

• Paper 1 (General Knowledge): 200 marks
• Paper 2 (Subject-Specific): 600 marks

Personal Interview: 100 marks for shortlisted candidates to assess their expertise and teaching aptitude.

Document Verification: To confirm academic qualifications and category certificates.

Final selection is based on the aggregate score of the written exam and interview.
