Around 500 students of first and third semesters, studying M.A in Gujarati Literature, have got zero marks in that paper.
All the students have reported the matter to the head of the department. The report has also reached the Vice-Chancellor of the university and Controller of the Examinations.
It was decided to recheck the examination answer scripts. University also ordered not to charge any fee from the students for rechecking.
The VC of the University also directed the Controller of the Examinations to take assistance from the faculties and experts from the other universities.
If any error on the part of GU or a professor is detected which led to the marks discrepancy, then an investigation will be made and the matter will be dealt with in an appropriate manner.
The Controller of Examinations is in the process of getting the papers rechecked and will verify them with the results, which will eliminate the possibility of errors in the scores of the candidates.
