The Ministry of Health And Family Welfare (MoHFW) has released the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for conducting the examinations. It has released the SOP on preventive measures to be followed while conducting examinations to contain spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The SOP guidelines issued by MoHFW will be serving as mandatory rules to universities and colleges on the safety measures they need to be taken for conducting exams or facilities need to be offered for students.

Ministry of Health has issued SOP considering the huge gatherings at the exam centres of final year semester exams in universities and entrance exams such as JEE Main and NEET. It has released the list of generic preventive measures for students. Ministry has also released a set of guidelines for all universities/ educational institutions/ examination conducting authorities/ examination centres.
The official notice reads, "Examination centres are frequented by a large number of students (as well as their parents) and staff till the entire duration of the exam and therefore, it's vital to plan and conduct these examinations, while one should specify the preventive measures."
The measures to be observed by all (staff, students and parents) at the exam centres.
