MHT CET CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 Released; Check College Allotment at cetcell.mahacet.org
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially released the MHT CET CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 for undergraduate engineering admissions. Candidates who participated in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) can now check their allotment status by visiting the official counselling portal.
The Round 1 allotment has been published online, and candidates can log in using their Application ID and Password/Date of Birth to view the college and course allotted to them. The allotment has been prepared based on candidates' MHT CET 2026 merit rank, category, reservation, seat availability, and choices filled during counselling.
MHT CET CAP Round 1 Result 2026 Released
The CAP counselling process is conducted by the Maharashtra CET Cell for admission to BE/BTech programmes offered by government, government-aided, university-managed, and private engineering colleges across the state.
Candidates who have secured a seat in the first round must carefully review their allotment status and complete the post-allotment formalities within the prescribed deadline. Failure to confirm admission may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
What Should Candidates Do After Seat Allotment?
After checking the allotment result, candidates are required to:
- Accept the allotted seat through the candidate login.
- Pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee online.
- Choose the Freeze option if satisfied with the allotted institute.
- Select the Betterment option if they wish to participate in subsequent CAP rounds while retaining the current allotment.
- Report to the allotted institute within the scheduled dates for document verification and admission confirmation.
Candidates allotted their first preference generally have their seats automatically frozen and will not be considered for further regular counselling rounds.

Candidates should keep the following documents ready while reporting to the allotted institute:
- MHT CET 2026 Scorecard
- CAP Round 1 Allotment Letter
- Class 10 and Class 12 Mark Sheets
- School Leaving Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Income Certificate (where applicable)
- Valid Government Photo ID
- Passport-size Photographs
- Seat Acceptance Fee Receipt
Institutes will verify all original documents before confirming admission.
