The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released the MHT CET CAP Round 1 Provisional Seat Allotment Result 2026 for admissions to engineering and management programmes.

Candidates who participated in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) can now check their allotment status by logging in to the official counselling portal using their Application ID along with their Date of Birth or password.
Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete all admission formalities between August 3 and August 5, 2026. These include accepting the allotted seat, submitting the required declarations, paying the seat acceptance fee, and reporting to the allotted institute within the prescribed deadline. Failure to complete these steps may affect a candidate's admission and eligibility for further counselling rounds.
Engineering candidates can check their allotment by visiting the official FE counselling portal and selecting the "Check Provisional Allotment Status (CAP Round-I)" option. MBA and MMS candidates can also access their allotment through the respective counselling portal using their registered login credentials.
The allotment has been prepared based on candidates' MHT CET scores, merit rank, category, reservation rules, seat availability, and the preferences submitted during the choice-filling process.
The Maharashtra CET Cell has provided candidates with different options after seat allotment:
Candidates Allotted Their First Preference
Candidates who receive their first preferred college and course will have their seats automatically frozen. They must:
These candidates will not be eligible to participate in the remaining regular CAP rounds.

Candidates selecting the Betterment option must still pay the seat acceptance fee to retain their currently allotted seat while waiting for possible upgradation.
The CET Cell has advised all candidates to verify the information submitted during registration, including:
If any discrepancy is found, candidates should immediately submit a request through the online grievance facility available in their candidate login. Corrections should be completed within the specified timeline to avoid issues during admission.
After completing seat acceptance, candidates must report to their allotted institute with the required documents for verification and final admission. The CET Cell will subsequently announce the schedule for CAP Round 2, where candidates opting for the Betterment option can compete for higher-preference colleges based on seat availability.
Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official Maharashtra CET counselling portal for updates regarding subsequent allotment rounds, reporting schedules, and important admission notifications.
