Medial college to be set up in Haryana's Ahirwal region

Rewari, March 17: Union Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh today said that a medical college will be set up in Ahirwal region of South Haryana in 5-7 years.

The college will come up on 200 acres of Panchayati land for which the village panchayat has already adopted a resolution, he said here.

Rao also said that for providing essential facilities like electricity and drinking water to the public, the government would not acquire the farmers' land against their consent.

He said that the previous central government had acquired 20,000 acres of land which included 6,500 acres of land of the farmers of Haryana.

Regarding the one rank-one pension yojna, Rao said that it could be put into practice at the expiry of the budget session of the Parliament but its benefits would be made available to the beneficiaries from April, 2014.
