MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3: Choice Filling Extended, Seat Matrix Revised

Eligible candidates who have qualified NEET PG 2025 and wish to participate in Round 3 can fill and lock their choices through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. The extension provides aspirants additional time to make informed decisions based on updated seat availability.

MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3

The NEET PG Counselling 2025 process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ), as well as seats in deemed and central universities. Round 3 is a crucial phase of counselling, especially for candidates who were not allotted a seat in previous rounds or who wish to upgrade their allotment.

As per the latest notification, MCC has extended the choice filling and locking window for Round 3, allowing candidates more time to select their preferred colleges and courses. This decision has been taken in view of the revised seat matrix, which includes newly added seats, reverted seats from previous rounds, and vacant seats after Round 2 allotments.

The revised seat matrix plays a vital role in counselling, as it reflects the real-time availability of seats across participating institutions. Candidates are strongly advised to go through the updated matrix carefully before finalizing their choices to improve their chances of seat allotment.

To participate in Round 3, candidates must:

  • Be NEET PG 2025 qualified
  • Complete registration and fee payment on the MCC portal
  • Fill and lock choices before the revised deadline

Choice filling can be done online by logging in to mcc.nic.in using the NEET PG roll number and password. Candidates are advised to lock their choices, as unlocked choices may be auto-locked at the deadline.

It is important to note that Round 3 is usually the last online counselling round for AIQ seats. Candidates allotted seats in this round are generally not allowed to resign, and failure to join may attract penalties, including forfeiture of security deposit and debarment from further counselling rounds, including state counselling.

After the completion of choice filling, MCC will process the allotments and publish the Round 3 seat allotment result on its official website. Shortlisted candidates must then report to the allotted college within the stipulated time for document verification and admission formalities.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the MCC website for:

  • Updated counselling schedule
  • Round 3 seat allotment result
  • Reporting and joining guidelines
  • Mop-up round details (if applicable)

The extension of choice filling and revision of the seat matrix offers a valuable opportunity for NEET PG aspirants to reassess their options and secure admission to their preferred postgraduate medical courses.
